The Process

WHAT IS PAINT
CORRECTION?

Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects from your vehicle's clear coat using machine polishing. Over time, improper washing, automatic car washes, and everyday use leave swirl marks, fine scratches, and water spots in your paint. Paint correction removes these defects by carefully leveling the clear coat — revealing the deep, glossy finish underneath.

What You Get

WHY PAINT
CORRECTION.

01
Deep Gloss Restoration

Removes the oxidized, defect-ridden surface layer and reveals the full depth and glossy clarity your paint had when it was new.

02
Remove Swirl Marks

The fine web of swirl marks scattered across your paint from improper washing and car washes — machine polished completely out.

03
Eliminate Water Spots

Hard water minerals etch into clear coat over time. Correction removes the etched layer and restores optical clarity across the panel.

04
Fix Light Scratches

Fine clear coat scratches that catch light and scatter it as haze — leveled out with polish, leaving a smooth, continuous reflective surface.

05
Eliminate Oxidation

UV exposure fades and chalks your paint. Correction strips the oxidized clear coat layer and revives the true color underneath. Especially dramatic on reds and blacks.

06
Prep for Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating locks in whatever is under it. You want to seal corrected paint — not defective paint. This is the required step before any serious coating.

Common Questions

EVERYTHING YOU
WANT TO KNOW.

Paint correction removes defects in the clear coat layer. Very deep scratches that go through the clear coat or into the paint itself may require touch-up paint. We inspect every panel before starting and will tell you upfront exactly what can and cannot be corrected.

Typically 4–8 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. We work at your location — your driveway, home, or office. No drop-off needed. Severely neglected paint or larger vehicles can take a full day.

Every 2–3 years, or whenever your paint looks dull or heavily swirled. After correction, a ceramic coating will protect the results for 2–6+ years — significantly extending the time between corrections.

When done properly, paint correction removes a very thin layer of clear coat. We inspect every panel and use the least aggressive compound needed to achieve the result. If the clear coat is too thin in any area, we stop and discuss it with you before proceeding.

We recommend avoiding rain and car washes for 24 hours. We apply a ceramic sealant at the end of every correction, so your results are protected and ready to go right away. No extra steps needed on your end.

Regular detailing cleans your car. Paint correction actually repairs the surface. It's a polishing service that removes real defects from the clear coat — not a cleaning service. They serve completely different purposes and can be combined on the same visit.

Absolutely — we actually recommend it. Correction removes the defects, ceramic coating seals and protects the corrected paint for years. It's the perfect combination: correction restores, coating preserves. Most clients who are serious about their paint do both in the same session.
