What makes the 6+ year formula different from 2–3 year? +
The 6+ formula has a higher concentration of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) and a thicker application layer. This results in a harder cure, longer lifespan, greater gloss depth, and stronger UV protection. The prep process is identical — the difference is entirely in the product quality and the annual inspection program included with this tier.
Is the annual inspection actually useful? +
Yes. Even the best ceramic coatings benefit from a yearly maintenance layer. When we return, we inspect the coating for wear areas and apply a ceramic spray that bonds to the existing coat, effectively refreshing its hydrophobic performance. Think of it like getting your oil changed — the engine is fine, but maintaining it makes it last.
Should I get paint correction before this service? +
Strongly recommended at this level. You're investing in a coating that will last the better part of a decade — you want the paint underneath to look its best. A 1-Step Glass Correction ($100 add-on) will remove light swirl marks and surface scratches before the coating seals everything in place.
How long before I can wash the car? +
72 hours minimum after application. The 6+ formula benefits from a slightly longer initial cure window than the 2–3 year product. After that, your car washes easier, dries faster, and stays cleaner longer than anything you've experienced.
Is this worth it for my daily driver? +
For a daily driver that sits outside regularly in NJ weather, the long-term protection is actually more valuable — not less. UV exposure, acid rain, road salt, and industrial fallout all accelerate paint damage over time. The 6+ coating gives your paint 6–8 years of continuous protection against all of it.
