What exactly is a ceramic sealant? +
A ceramic sealant is a synthetic polymer that chemically bonds to your clear coat, creating a hydrophobic (water-repelling) layer on top of your paint. Unlike carnauba wax which sits on the surface and lasts weeks, a sealant bonds directly and lasts 3–6 months. Water beads up and rolls off, taking dirt with it and keeping your car cleaner between washes.
How is this different from a ceramic coating? +
A ceramic sealant is applied on top of the existing paint and lasts 3–6 months. A ceramic coating (our 2-3 year or 6+ year packages) involves full paint prep, decontamination, and a professional-grade coating that actually fuses to the clear coat for years of protection. The coating is a significantly more involved process — and significantly longer lasting.
How do I maintain the sealant after? +
Avoid automated car washes with brushes — they strip sealant fast. Hand washing or touchless car washes are ideal. The sealant makes your car easier to keep clean regardless of how you wash it.
How long does the service take? +
Typically 2–3 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. We'll give you an accurate estimate when you book.
Do I need to do anything to prepare? +
Just make sure the car is accessible and that you have about 3 feet of clearance around it if possible. That's it — we handle everything else.
